Sixth prahar — early night · 21:00–00:00
Kedar
केदार
A serene night raga of the Kalyan thaat built on the Sa-Ma axis, moving vakra through both madhyams with Ga nearly absent. Beloved of bhajan singers — Meera's 'Payoji maine Ram Ratan' is traditionally sung in Kedar. Its vakra chalan resists a simple jati label.

Dosha effect
Vata -1 · Pitta -1 · Kapha ±0(−2 pacifies · +2 aggravates)
The settled Sa-Ma axis and gentle vakra movement calm both the vata of night and any lingering evening pitta — a raga of prayerful rest.
On Moon: A serene, moonlit night raga named for Shiva's Kedarnath form — its cooling devotion belongs to Chandra.
