Third prahar — midday · 12:00–15:00
Gaud Sarang
गौड़ सारंग
The great vakra raga of midday — Kalyan-thaat swaras taken in curling, never-straight phrases (the signature S-G-R-M-G ascent). Both madhyamas appear; sung in the third prahar when the sun is high.

Dosha effect
Vata -1 · Pitta -1 · Kapha ±0(−2 pacifies · +2 aggravates)
A midday raga whose cool, vakra grace tempers the pitta peak of noon — the swaying G-R-M-G turns give it an unhurried, shade-like calm.
