Second prahar — late morning · 09:00–12:00
Asavari
आसावरी
The defining raga of the Asavari thaat, an emblem of renunciation and inward resolve. A pentatonic ascent (omitting Ga and Ni) opens into a full descent coloured by komal Ga, Dha and Ni — grave, introspective, sung in the late morning.

Dosha effect
Vata -1 · Pitta -1 · Kapha ±0(−2 pacifies · +2 aggravates)
Late-morning raga of vairagya — the grave descent through komal Ga, Dha and Ni quiets pitta and grounds vata, turning the mind inward as the day's activity builds.
On Saturn: Renunciation, gravity and quiet resolve are Shani's domain; Asavari's introspective weight sits naturally in Saturn's hora.
